People usually make a wishlist and have it renewed every year. So do I. But sometimes I've found it too overwhelming to reach it all within a year. So, inspired by my close friend, Christa, I'm now creating a 30 before 30 list. It's 30 things to achieve or to get before I turn 30. Not all of it are huge or serious things, but it can be simple things such as smile more often or go to the gym daily, for example. The difference between this list with the annual one is it's give you more time to accomplish it, so you won't feel rushed and then end up dissapointed at the end of the year knowing that you don't get what you want.
Why put the age of 30 as the bar? hmm.. for me the age of 20-ish is the golden age. You're a mature, not a kid anymore but still a youth, the rising generation. You graduated, getting the first job, having your own money and start living on your own, doing your own thing, starting to have your own place within the community. You're a young adult, being prepared to enter the adulthood which start at the age of 30. At this adulthood stage, life gets more complicated, high position in a job create huge problems and responsibilities, then here comes the family issues; husband, wife, kids, mother & father in law and all. Most people get too carried away by their job and family, and forget about themselves. This can cause depression if they don't know how to find the balance, how to maintain the relationship within themselves, god and others.
Anyway, let's not go too far..since I'm now on my 20ish, let's embrace it!
Put yourself first, find out what you really want and who you really want to be, then do it, get it, make it happen. Make mistakes, be reckless. Work hard and party harder, learn more and laugh much. Go out and about, do a little dress up, put on your make up and dance till drop! Let's travel and get lost, experience new things and meet loads of new peeps. Let's being deeply in love and going crazy about it.
This idea of embracing the youth doesn't mean it's okay for you to be a selfish bitch. We're a young adult, don't forget the part of being prepared for the adulthood, okay. Hold tight on what you believe, be good and do it all safely and elegantly.
